The Holzmann Family from the Biberhof in Radstadt

Familie Holzmann On the Biberhof farm three generations of the Holzmann family live and work.

In addition to the grandparents Theresia and Hans senior there are Klaudia and Hans with their children Christian, Hannes and Philipp.
Hans and his son Christian are responsible for the care of our animals and for the cultivation of the fields and forests. Klaudia and granny care for the guests of the Biberhof
Hannes works as a plumber in Radstadt and Philipp is still at school.

We all love living and working on the farm and we are pleased to take our time to spend many nice hours together with our guests of the Biberhof. The guests no matter whether old or young are fond of grandfather´s stories about former times and old working methods on the farm.

A short history of our farm Biberhof:

Since 1743, the Biberhof in Radstadt has been in possession of our family without any interruptions. The farm house which was constructed in 1887 was already at that time an exemplary building.

Unusual for this period, one constructed large and airy rooms. The Biberhof has been constantly improved and renovated and guest rooms were established. Already in 1964, Theresia and Hans senior had started to let rooms for holiday guests. In 1993, Klaudia and Hans overtook the enterprise. In 1994, a new house was built next to the farm house. There is not only space enough for the family, but also for generous holiday apartments.

The farm is run as a full-time enterprise with cattle-breeding and diary-farming. The farm includes ca. 30 hectares of meadows and pastures and approximately 60 hectares of forest. On our farm we keep approx. 20 milk cows, 25 pieces of young cattle, 3 horses, 3 goats, rabbits, cats and quails. In the course of the years, tourism has become a very important sector. We are very pleased to see that Klaudia´s and Hans´s children show a great interest for the agriculture and for tourism and are devoted to the Biberhof.
